Alex Higgins 1949 - 2010

     Cottontown would like to pay it's respects to Alex "Hurricane" Higgins who passed away on Saturday 24th July. He spent a lot of his early years living in Blackburn and the Twice Embassy World Snooker Champion was due to appear in the Snooker Legends night at the King George's Hall in Blackburn in May of this year but was unable to attend due to his illness and was replaced by another adopted son, Dennis Taylor. We hope to feature Alex in an article on cottontown in the near future.
