Blackburn Cemetery contains 261 graves that are in the care of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Many of them contain soldiers from the East Lancashire Regiment who fought in both World Wars.

Gordon Hartley has recently discovered a grave at Blackburn Cemetery of a soldier from the East Lancashire Regiment who has not been commemorated previously. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission had no record of him. We are pleased to add his name to the list.
